So hot today...

On my third treatment of Chemo. The 15th was my last day. Now day 11 into it, I have some neuropathy (numbness) in the tips of my fingers. I'm also a little nauseous. Other than that I'm doing okay. I've had some issues with my eyes too, though I don't know if it's the chemo or if my lasic is just going wrong. I can see fine in the morning but as the day wears on, my eyesight gets worse. I need to go see the eye doctor to figure out what this is about but I'm waiting til the chemo wears off a little. I have a feeling it's just side effects. I also need to pay $400 to get their "lifetime guarantee" which I've been meaning to buy I just have put it off. I have a year to sign up for it.

Other than that, I've been getting better slowly. I still have no hair. I probably need to wait til day 14 before I start using ovation on it, since day 14 seems to be when I get that burny "your hair is falling out" feeling. No use trying to grow hair that is just going to fall out again. However I'm looking to at least have some fuzz by Ycon. If not I'll be in costume most of that time anyway. Besides, datenshiblue sent me some absolutely awesome doo-rags plus some other wonderful gifts.

I've finally opted into a goat farm so I can get raw milk. It's sooooooo good. The goats are so happy and friendly. I'm absolutely ecstatic. It's more expensive, but it's worth it definitely. I would suggest it to anyone.

Why you should drink Raw Milk
Colorado Farms

That and our Door to Door Organics order should keep us hella healthy. Nao is even getting used to the mostly vegetarian diet we're on. He says that if we're eating a lot of fruit, meat isn't so needed. He also never drinks milk because it's bad on his digestion. But with this milk so far no problems. It's kind of hard to get my protein though. I have to do a lot of tofu and beans. But I'm also doing all organic meat when I do eat meat. It's really good having a good idea of where all my food comes from.

Part of the reason I'm doing this is to never be in this situation again. I need my immune system to be as strong as possible so I don't get lymphoma ever again. I'm taking every precaution I possibly can. Not that I won't occasionally indulge in bad food, but way less than I used to. Not that I ever ate that much bad food, but now I have to be really religious about it.

So that's my latest update. I'm on my last treatment and the doctor already thinks I've kicked this cancer's ass. I just really want to get back to a normal life. I know in the next few days a lot of the side effects will have subsided, but for now it sucks. Given it's better than the first 4 weeks of sickness, but I still have a nasty taste in my mouth. Foods taste bland and my appetite is weird. I think that's from going back on thyroid. It'll probably take a while to regulate that to exactly where it should be.

The sixth is going to mark my third week after my third treatment, but I'll have to do a lot of cleansing. I won't do anything really harsh. After that I've got 3 weeks of radiation to get through but that shouldn't be too bad since it's on such a small area. I hope.

Anyway hope y'all are doing okay. I went through about a week of LJ entries, but I definitely could have missed something.
