I said yesterday I could live with Donna and Josh being BFFs, BUT I TOTALLY LIED. I finished season five, and SLDKFHSODIFJSO!! There might or might not have been lots of *FLAIL*-ing during the last couple eps. Josh's reaction to everything is so wholly expressive in just how much he's restraining himself, it's neat to watch. Snicker. I didn't want to say anything when you first brought it up because my trajectory was pretty similar. At first it's all, "Oh, they'll still be cute even as just flirty BFFs." Then it reaches the point of, "Well,they just can't be that stupid not to evolve when they care so much about each other."

Are you going straight into season 6?

The ship just kinda sneaks up on you, doesn't it?! I didn't realize how hardcore shippy I was until that episode!

I'm about a third into it. Donna left. And same with Josh and the White House =( The whole gang kinda fell apart...

I'm totally loving reading your posts about this. It's a fabulous show and my best friend made me watch his dvds so I saw the show pretty much all the way through one ep after the other. So good. Now I have the box set. You're making me want to do a rewatch!

Just saying. It's awesome.

Okay, so we should definitely do a few episodes together and chitty chat about them, I think. I'm sure other people in here will be up for that; I am. I could do with a distraction from, y'know, stupid real life... :)
