Can't knit, but I can needlepoint

Feb 05, 2010 09:02

This one is about 15 years old and was originally done for a foot stool.  It's been in the attic for about 10 years so I'm going to turn it into a throw pillow for the family room.

This is one I've been wanting to do for a long time.  It's in a book by Kaffe Fassett.  A Kabuki face, which means that it's probably a man face.
I started it this time last week after a visit to the only store in town that still sells needlepoint yarns.  Unfortunately, I've run out of white and will be switching to another from the same book until I can go get more white to finish this one.

It's a bit of a mystery to me why knitting hurts and needlepoint doesn't.  But, hey, I'm just rolling with it.  I can't sit still and watch t.v. without something for my hands to do.  This beats shoving food in my mouth, which would be my default setting.   :-)
