already i have beef with Fallout 3 :( and this is because you lose karma when you rob someone, even if they dont see you! Usually if given the opportunity, I like to be nice to NPCs and chose the friendly things to say, but secretly rob em blind behind their backs,and trash their house (like in Oblivion I'd walk into mage guild and blast their book shelves with fireballs, causing hella destruction and gaining personal satisfaction. hence I tend to level up sneak and lockpicking and pickpocketing skills. I have an intense desire to steal their stuff, and break into their homes! Thats how I played Avernum, and Oblivion, and any other game that allows suck devious behavior. But in Fallout whether I am seen or not, I lose karma. And I'm not sure if i want to lose karma. This maybe a bad thing. Sadness. I have to rework the way I play, and not go the thief route if I am to keep good karma. damn you!
