Disney kick
ARAAARGH! So I have been watching lots of old (and new) Disney animated movies. Oh god I am such a Disney fangirl. Really.
So I watched all 3 little mermaid movies and SQUEE!!! ERIC IS SOOOO DREAMY!! >> *ahem* Aladdin is still the superior of the Disney princes in my opinion, but Eric has such nice hair.
So now, it makes me wonder, seeing these lovely films again. (2&3 were not the greatest, but very fun) What ever happened to Eric's Parents? I mean, he is 19 in the film and definitely still a Prince in "Return to the sea". Thus leads me to the logical conclusion that Eric had family that ruled the country he was from. So that being said, was it his brother? his father? WHO ARE ERIC'S PARENTS?! Did they approve of Ariel? I mean, they must be rather logical people, so I must assume they would be a little skeptical of the pretty redhead that came from the sea.
That being said, would Eric even tell his parents "oh yeah, she's really a mermaid. This evil witch used her and blah blah. Those rumors of my wedding, yeah, not a total lie. she hypnotized me and by the way, this is my 16 year old bride."
Personally, I am a huge fan of the idea that between the scene where Triton gifts to Ariel the ability to be human and the wedding scene there is an actual courting of each other. I think it would be romantic, you know? Eric teaching Ariel customs and rituals that he couldn't get to in those other 3 days. And the idea of Grimsby and the rest of the staff tryign to keep them from getting too romantic with each other and sneaking off in the middle of the night for little kisses *swoooooon* >> This is Disney so they stick with kisses....onscreen....
So now, Beauty and the Beast. Did Belle and Adam (da human beast) ever get hitched? Belle does not have an official wedding dress. That being said, would Belle be feminist enough to tell Adam that they can live together and do the hanky panky, but she was not goign to marry him because she had some troubles in the past with men tryign to marry her? I kind of like that idea, I mean, Belle is fairly forward thinking. Belle is DA MAN in that relationship.
Plus, Adam hadn't worn shoes in ten years...or well fitting clothes...how would he adjust to that? Would he just be a nudist? How about manscaping or would he be a really hairy dude?
What do you people think? not looking for deep thoughts here, just wondering what is thought. I mean, we all watched Disney movies mostly...and we all must have some sort of ideas of what happened after the movie ended...or is that just me?
In other news. >< OH GOD SCHOOL AND WORK START AGAIN ON TUESDAY!!! *cries* Where did my summer go?!
