OH. Wow. Karen, we gotta take away your food more often. :) This is AMAZING. I was going quote back my favorite lines and tell you why I liked them, but I can't choose. I'd just end up cutting and pasting the whole darn thing. I love you so much for this - but especially for the cotton blankets, which I shall be using as you know I'm in SoCal.

Perhaps I should have sub-titled this theme: "Enabling -- Not an excuse for Woobie Cuddling":Or, How One Learns Restraint & Tough Love, One Day At A time? Clearly, much lab time would be needed. And demonstations, natch.

Yes, ditto to what you said. Suffice it to say that this minor sounds so real that I wouldn't be surprised to find it in my college's catalog. I would so be taking those courses!
I love Note at the bottome, and the required courses are superb!

Hee! Thanks so much. I'd take them too, especially if the dept. chose to confirm certain guest lecturers or in-class subjects. (Why is that classroom scene in the first "Indiana Jones" movie coming to mind? Hmmm. Have no idea...) Glad you liked the courses and...well... the note re: leather cleansers? I think it just had to be stated, don't you? ;-)

LOL. Nope, not a clue. Actually I was picturing Guy & Marian actually, but hey, whatever works. He can be a tad linear, so when he hears Marian's name or that she's nearby, (DING!) he starts salivating. Or something. ;-) The reason/s for using copious amounts of leather cleansers I thought I'd rather leave open to individual interpretation. (heh)
Re: Minor in Clueless Emotionally-Stunted Woobie Behavioral SciencecaedheAugust 13 2009, 17:46:51 UTC
That, I appreciate. :)
Yes, Guy and Marian makes sense. However, I can also be linear. I was just picturing Corri - and maybe me a little...when Richard's on screen. Now, all it has to be is a hint of leather. Going in a leather store (to look at costumes) triggers discussions of RA. Especially since we once found his season 1 cloak. I don't know how he could wear that. He must have died of heat stroke.

Yes, re: leather cleansers, sometimes discretion can be most...alluring. And preferable. ;-) And yeah. The smell of leather. Yum! But, HA! I love how you qualified your shopping: **"...Going in a leather store (to look at costumes)..."** Hee! As opposed to going into a bridle/tack/boots store? Or an "accessories" establishment? ;-) Wait...what? How did you find his S1 cloak? Dare I ask? Costumers secrets?

I am an avid Renaissance Faire participant. Besides being generally awesome, they have the most amazing leather booths. Last spring, one had a few very beautiful display models - just statues, alas. Corri pointed out that one was garbed in something suspiciously similar to Guy's cloak. There was geeking out and taking of pictures. That was a good day. (and yes, there are leather clothes, costumes, boots, and um "accessories.")

I love the SoCal (LA) Ren Faire. Or did when it was in Agoura. I'm no longer in-state, and so haven't been to the Faire since they moved it. Nice to hear it's still okay. (It was so nice, when in the cool early June mornings, in the low-lying rolling hills, there was still fog/mist in the oak trees, etc. Very ethereal.) And yes, AWESOME booths with amazing crafts people. Well spotted by Corri! They must have been so happy to have you guys cheering and appreciating their work! Bravo, you two. I still have a necklace that I got there, which I treasure, with a small (1" x 1/2") piece of fossilized ivory, with a detailed scrimshaw of a dragon looking down benignly on a unicorn, with a tiny castle floating in a cloud above them. Amazing work. Bravo to talented craftspeople & artists. ;-)

Another renny! Nice. The leather/armor/weapons are one of the major reasons for going. I haven't seen any Guy-esque stuff at the BARF (yes, that really and truly is what our ren fest is called).
