(no subject)
i see that i haven't posted in a while - guess i'd better fix that. ;)
well, things haven't really been much different for me, though i did do some more job applications. & haven't heard back from that one, yet, by the way - shall find out at the earliest, the end of this week. or so they tell me. in any case, i do have another interview coming up, so yay for that. unfortunately, it's kind of located in a rather remote area (for anyone who knows where our resident vermonter is from, well, it's around there). so getting there is going to be a bit of a hike & will probably require me to spend the night in a hotel of sorts somewhere due to public transportation schedules. boo.
question for people - do companies & such compensate for traveling expenses for an interview? in any case, i shall send them an e-mail - can't hurt to ask, right?
the other application i'm currently waiting to hear back from is the one i'm most excited about so far - it's with the collections management/curatorial department at mystic seaport. cross your fingers & pray that my application makes it past the first round & i get an interview - cause 1) collections 2) permanent 3) relatively close to a major city & last but not least, SHIPS & all things NAUTICAL *squee*
now must be off to dinner & making pigs in a blanket for the monthly birthday party at the office.
