cold enough to snow, & yet it does not. i hope we have a decent snowy winter this year, as opposed to the pathetic excuses for the season in the years past. it was more like extended fall than anything else. bleh.
i have officially finished my essays for grad school - yay! at least, finished enough that i am satisfied with them & would feel ok sending them off to the respective schools. one of them is already sent out & the other, i have to double check to see if i need to do both the general graduate studies personal statement, the "targeted essay" or both. i hope it's just one or the other since they are both very similar, with the exception of one being 2-3 times longer than the other. but other than that, i'm feeling good about these applications. everything has clicked into place these past few weeks with them, so come august/september, i will be either going south, in the direction of A&D, or north to join practically everybody else. hopefully, that is. there is still the chance that neither will accept me & then i shall be staying put. we shall see...
on a much more superficial note, i really hate how long it takes for people to sub & upload drama episodes. i'm still waiting for 3 to finish up, two of which i had already started, thinking the subbers would have finished by the time i got the end, but no. i understand they are people too & have lives outside of subbing, but sometimes it gets rather frustrating waiting for the next episode to come out. so what do i do, now that i am feeling very pleased with myself & accomplished, with no dangling carrot for myself? javabeans to the rescue, with completely summarized dramas for me to discover!!! too bad she only does kdramas, but still. love her commentary & she does a fantastic job with per-episode summaries. her first-date drama post is the best. :)
so many choices, so many decisions to make - long or short, contemporary or historical, drama or comedy, or a mix...?
