summer & movies
I have been rather remiss about my lj lately, so i figured i'd get back on track as i'm trying to have at least one post per month. i have been rather remiss about a lot of things lately, so i must start up on those things again.
as a recap, last weekend, finally felt like it was officially summer, unfortunately, even though summer doesn't start until this saturday. it was unfortunate, since there are two things that i hate most about this season, which are the bugs (namely mosquitoes) & the heat, and man was it hot last week. upper 90s with high humidity, making it feel over 100. gross. it was like being in hong kong in the summer or a sauna, only with dirty air. & the worst thing about it was that we don't have air conditioning in our house. very glad that it's finally cooled down.
finally finished our big project at work, & all we have to do now is proofing. found a dress for the wedding, which is coming up, so that's also good. also found the time to go shopping with
timeripple yesterday, which was lots of fun. went to see Kung Fu Panda, which was better than i thought it would be & quite fun altogether. Some thing were a bit weird, though, like having a character named master shifu, since shifu in chinese already means master, as in teacher. so it's like saying his name is master master. reminds of that poor dude in Catch-22, major major major. man, that would totally suck as a name.
timeripple, this is the 2nd kung fu movie in a row that i've seen with you, not that i'm complaining (as if i ever would) but i think we need to branch out more. just a thought. :)
