TODAY'S BEER
Not a beer I bought for Christmas, but it was a "guest ale" in my local Lidl supermarket. It is "Raven Ale" made by the Orkney Brewery (see https://www.orkneybrewery.co.uk ). The Orkney archipeligo is situated north of the Scottish mainland and approximately 630 miles (1030km) from my home in Hereford. So the opportunity to try a beer from a distant part of the UK was not to be missed.
