Autumn is advancing, but in UK the weather is still mild . . . but cooler than it has been and I have been forced to abandon shorts, T-shirt, Crocs/deck-shoes, which I have worn almost daily since mid-Spring for long trousers and a heavy-weight shirt.
Some flowers are in bloom:
Gentian a pale autumn variety, not many flowers this year.
Nasturtian, a few plants grew from seed made by last year's flowers.
Sunflower, a multi-stem variety with many small (ca 7cm) flowers.
Cyclamen, a reliable plant for autumn/winter flowering.
My "Doyen du Comice" pear tree, grown as a fan, has several fruit. These can remain on the tree another week or two, depending on the weather.
