Two weeks ago my sister called me and said, "I quit my job, let's go on a road trip." I said, "sure." We did that thing where you spin the globe and wherever your finger lands that's where you go. It landed on the Congo. We decided on Florida. That was our first good decision.

Our friends Sarah and Jesse had done this thing called couch surfing. It's basically a site where people that are travelling can get in touch with people that have places for them to crash. We thought we'd give it a shot. Long story short, we got in touch with this woman who put us up in her riverfront condo for free.

Florida, subsequently, was amazing. We met up with Pat Barnes who introduced us to some awesome pepole. We met up with Maggie who got us into Disney world for free. We met Alan Smith, a midfielder for Manchester United, and hung out with him a couple nights. He was British and hilarious.

After Florida, we drove to West Virginia to see my grandfather. From Florida we went to Washington D.C. to see one of my best friends, Dan Gray, who I hadn't seen in forever. From Washington D.C. it was onward to New York City.

New York City was my favorite stop on the trip, even with all the amazing things that happened in Florida. We stayed with Stacy, who's in the Bronx teaching high school. On Saturday night, we met up with Mr. Scott Tolinski, who's taking over as president of Element 1.

I had totally forgotten he was in the city. We were hanging out in Washington Square Park and I saw some kids breaking, so I starting talking to them and showing off my sweet dance moves. After a little bit I was like, "holy crap, isn't Scott in New York?" So I called him and he was like, "oh yeah, I can see you."

To end the trip, we drove to Pittsburgh and spent the 4th with my dad and some of the other Third River families. My brother flew out from Nebraska, and it was great to see him. For being totally last minute, things turned out pretty damn well. I almost forgot! When we got back to Kent, my sister's car battery died, right as we got home. It could have died anywhere on the trip, but it waited and went peacefully while sitting in the driveway. Second road trip in a row where a car has chosen a good time and place to break down.

I still have a few more trips to make. Just when I thought I would be going to Pittsburgh for sure, I hear from the Executive Director from the Accenture Institute in Boston. I talked to him today, and he wants me to come back up to Boston to talk about working there. Honestly, I was surprised when they were interested to hire me on as an Analyst in Pittsburgh, but now, I'm downright flabbergasted. The Institute is pretty much the heart of Accenture -- the heart of a 100,000 employee company. I've never thought of myself as being that smart, but I guess others see me differently. If I get an offer from Boston, I'm going to be faced with an incredibly hard decision.

So there's Boston. I'd also like to get back to New York City. I'll probably be able to get a cheap flight from Boston, or even take the train. I'd also like to make it out to California. Kandi says it's hot out there, but I don't mind.
