I am only beginning to comprehend how the Little Mermaid felt when she walked on land, with every step feeling like glass was piercing her feet. I had my first Muai Thai class today. The first thing he made us do was jumping jacks barefoot on the dirty vinyl floor of the multi-purpose room for five minutes nonstop. If anyone stopped he said he would add another ten seconds for the whole class. As a result I have blisters on the soles of my toes and it hurts to walk.
The stamina I built up from soccer in high school has either left me, is dormant or cannot be applied to the activity above. Next meeting were going to be running. We used to do that in soccer, hopefully I still can and my blisters won't kill me.
In other news
I've rediscovered how wonderful it is to be reading new books constantly. In the past week or so I've read Stardust, Montmorency and the Assasins, The Exiles at Home and The Exiles in Love. I've started reading Like Water for Chocolate.
My history teacher is the type of teacher I can just sit and listen to for the entire hour. YES!!!
I have killer teachers this sem. They all seem to be one or both of the following demanding/good. Good luck to me.
1st sem,
2nd year,
books,
muai thai
