slight change of plans..we are now moving out february 25th. the lease is signed, we got our renters agreements, and we will be getting our keys less than 3 weeks from now. !!
my mom also said she'll take me out and buy me plates, bowls, silverware, and other assorted kitchenwares. that makes abby and myself quite happy -- we are pretty much broke.
we still need a bunch of stuff, such as a microwave, trash cans, towels, curtains, a shower curtain, paintings and/or pictures (i was put in charge of decorating the apartment), and at least one clock..but that can all come in time, right?
also, seeing as how abby desperately wants cable tv and the internet, it seems like i'm going to have comcast. i'm afraid of paying for it (she's adding more and more expenses) but it will be really nice to have the internet. in fact, i would probably go crazy w/o it, even though i don't get on nearly as much as i used to. but livejournal will no longer be forgotten!
though that brings up the television issue...my tv is going in the living room, so i won't have one in my bedroom like i've always been used to. but then, i'll have cable tv, which i am totally not used to. we have satellite at my house now, but only in the living room..we even have a big screen tv, but i am like never in there to watch it.
one very sad thing? no dishwasher. i have to start washing my dishes now, though since ive been working at pudge im sort of used to that. and the place has a brand new stove and fridge, new paint on all the walls and cabinets, new carpet. the living room has a rockin ceiling fan too.
and the story behind the place..it's in downtown albuquerque, and it's in this 2 story building..the guy said that the place is 85 years old, and that it was built as a preparatory school in the 20's, and that when he bought it he totally gutted the place and made it four apartments. 704 coal ave sw, apt b.
moving out is at least giving me a chance to go through all of my shit, much of which i plan on throwing out. i have soo much crap that is just..crap. everything after i move will be pretty, clean, and organized..mm. at least for a while. plus i'll be able to buy a lot of new stuff, it's a new beginning in
so many ways.
