Mom and Dad got a new cat and her name is Marlee. She has two too many "finger" pads on each of her front paws. This is funny to see and even funnier to feel her paw at you. But what's even funnier than her have two too many pads per paw is that my parents didn't even realize it until I noticed and told them about it. Even funnier than that(!) is that their other cat is equally, though, differently... different. Catalina, the cat they have now has one eye that's smaller than the other, no discernible neck and is overall very midgety looking (still looks less than a year old).
This is Marlee (mid-wink):
And here is a shot that shows one of her paws with the extra pads:
It looks like a mitten or a boxing glove! LOL
But she's a rock star. She's super soft and so far, very loving.

On Saturday (at 7:15am) and on Sunday (at 9:30am) down to our Little League to help with tryouts. Because of the heavy rains all night on Friday and into Saturday morning (it stopped at like 3 or 3:30am) the fields and the surrounding concrete pads were totally flooded. I got the surrounding areas clear of water using a floor squeegee while B. got the fields ready. The other ladies got the tarps, tables, and chairs ready and then all the paper work too, while the other men helped B. out doing whatever needed to be done.
Some of us (7 or 8 of us were down there for 10+ hrs) and then went back AGAIN the next day! (We're not too sa-mart). LOL
This is a shot of me from day two (I was a little punch-drunk):
It was mostly fun...after the first round of kids. We had over 50 kids between the ages of 6 and 8 all in ONE LINE moving from one task to another. D'oh! Fielding/throwing, then catching/throwing, then straight-line running for speed, then hitting. It was nuh-uhts. There were two kids (brothers or cousins...same last name) who were nearly the death of me.
The next two waves of kids got progressively older and easier to control.
Here is a shot of several of the kids warming up before try outs:

While I was at the fields helping with tryouts Mary made sure that James got to his league bowling on time (8:50am). He did well this week: game 1 = 202 (only one open frame!), game 2 = 133, and game 3 = 143... for an average of 159. Not bad at all, three pins over his book average of 156.
This is what it looked like at the lanes when they got there... they were the first to arrive:

Saturday Kate and Amy brought over dinner (Pat & Oscars). We had pizza, pasta, chicken bits things (so good), and TONS of Greek salad. They also brought apple crumble pie and low/no(?) fat vanilla ice cream. YUM!
After dinner we drank, played a game, chatted and LAUGHED. It was a great night.
Here's a shot of pie and ice cream:

Later on Sunday Mary and I prepared dinner for our parents. After we ate we played Apples to Apples. FUN GAME. No heavy thinking involved, but still competitive and fun to play.
