Today's Day

Nov 06, 2008 21:05

Let it be known far and wide… to the ends of the kingdom: I only went to bat ONCE with two outs.

Yah, I grounded out to short, but I wasn’t going to mention that part.

Today was a good day all the way around.  It started with a short, 1-hour, breakfast party to celebrate a co-workers birthday, continued with very little extra work landing on my desk and ended with family and friends as we won our 6th straight softball game.

Only ice cream could make this day better.

Tomorrow Mary, James and I are going to go watch a friend’s son play football.  He’s a senior in high school and we’ve never been to one of his games.  I’m looking forward to it.  It’ll be HELLA cold, but it’ll be nice.  A good cold, you know?

Mary and I will be working, selling beer, at the San Diego Chargers game on the 9th.  It’s a fund raiser for our local Little League, Twin Hills Little League (www.twinhillslittleleague.com).  If you’d like to make a monetary donation, please let me know, it would be tax deductable (our treasure can get you a receipt).  We, the board members and all of the families, are working toward getting three of the four fields up to travel baseball standards so that we can start earning money by hosting practices, games and tournaments.

It’s only 9pm and I’m pretty darn tired.  I don’t think I’ll be staying up to w00t… just too sleepy.

Wait, check that, I’ll probably still be “up” but I’ll be in bed reading.

Nighters.
