Books, House 3x02, and Shyamalan

Am at work. LITERALLY all by my lonesome self. Outside is BLAH and half-raining (you know when it's drizzling and totally gloomy-lookin'?). I want nothing but to go home and curl up with my book.

Yes, I found a book. THANK YOU so much for all your recs :D. I feel kinda bad that I didn't end up buying any of them, but I will make sure to put some of them on my 'must-read' list.

The book I ended up buying is One Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel Garcia Marquez.

It's not the sort of book I thought I'd be reading, but it really is GOOD. I just couldn't put it down. First day, I ended up reading almost 200 pages straight. That's magnificent for me. He's just got a way with words and characters. The plot is both mystical and real at the same time. It's just unpredictable. Apparently, this guy is the master of fantastic/political realism stories. And apparently, this book is the story or the metaphor for Colombia. It's just very interesting. Read it.

I've seen the second episode of House season 3! I'm loving my new net connection. Whole episode downloaded in about 1/2hour! Woot! Anywhoo...

Did anyone pretty much guess what the foreign DNA in the kid was, just from the title? I pretty much went, yup, that's his twin's DNA. I don't know, maybe because "chimera-ism" was also featured in CSI once, but the ending was kinda anti-climatic for me.

Poor House. Back to cane?

LOVING his whole comments on Cuddy's breasts ;D.

Cameron was being nosy as usual, Foreman just knows how to pull things out of her (hee!), and Chase was remarkably sweet to the little kid. You know, when it comes to little kids and faith, Chase IS the man.

I'm watching Lady in the Water tonight! Whee... Love Shyamalan's work :).

Better go back to work now... *groan* Maybe I can feign sickness and go home early? Ehhh, I need the money though :(.
