Favorite Pairings of the Week & Domestic Goddess?

I wanted to post because I found this image:

How cute are they! They even have the same smiles! I was thinking that I need to update my Kimi-Alonso icon because Fernando's still wearing his old McLaren uniform in that one (despite how much I loved his cropped McLaren hair).

Guh, I WANT THEM DRIVING FOR THE SAME TEAM!!! Okay, sure, there might be the same, uh, driver order problems, both of them being World Champions and all, but I honestly think they can work well together... Well, I'm crossing my fingers for 2009.

Speaking of pairings I love, last Saturday I went and saw The Other Boleyn Girl. I LOVED it! They could not have cast it any more perfectly! Scarlett and Natalie stole every scene they were in. My eyes only went for them whenever they're in the frame (Sure, Eric Bana and that dude who plays George Boleyn were gorgeous, but it was all about the chicks for me --- If I ever turned gay, I tell ya...). Scarlett was sweetly heartbreaking and Natalie was seductively cruel (the reversal in the roles the actresses usually take was also intriguing), but their acting matched each other's equally. THEY NEED TO STAR IN MORE MOVIES TOGETHER! There really aren't a lot of young actresses in the same caliber.

In other news, I heard that Scarlett's signed on to play Mary Queen of Scots (or "MQOS" as my old English History Professor used to call her, heh). I think she nails historical dramas, so I'm excited about this.

My third favorite pairing this week comes from the realm of *GASP* reality TV! I normally am a snobby snobberson when it comes to reality television, but I've been hooked by So You Think You Can Dance (Australia), and in particular, by this couple, Kate & Graeme:

Their contemporary dance to Coldplay's "Fix You" last week really, um, moved me, for some reason. To be honest, I don't think I could have ever understood, let alone appreciated, contemporary dancing, but that one was just so beautiful! I think it's because the dancers really had AMAZING CHEMISTRY together and because they really got into the heartbreaking role, which was why they looked like they were ready to cry afterwards (they later said that to prepare for the dance, they sat in a corner for an hour before the performance to talk about their relationship). Simply lovely...

Finally, I just bought the following book today:

I've been into baking recently and because Borders decided to offer a 40% discount coupon to all its members, I thought, 'Why not?' I'm really excited to try out the recipes, though I'm sadly prevented from testing them all due to my lack of owning a fancy food processor (my aunt has one of those and apparently they cost an arm and a leg).

I question my recent tendency of developing a career as a housewife (seriously --- I'm not knocking housewives). And to think I was described as feminist during my college years... Huh.

the other boleyn girl, life, tv, so you think you can dance, f1, sport, movie
