Chuck's Fandom Reference & Pushing Daisies
Just a short post, indicating I'm still around :).
How many people in my FLIST watch Chuck? I'm currently watching episode 2 and I'm just curious if anyone else noticed this:
During the part where Chuck was shown that series of images (to test whether any of them would trigger specific government secrets), did anyone hear him say, "Oceanic Flight 815 was shot down..."
Well, I can't tell what he said it was shot down by, but it was an 'H' word, like 'Hippopotamus' or 'Hippocratic.' There's probably a more logical choice, duh, but my hearing sucks, so...
Anyway, Oceanic Flight 815 was the plane that brought down the LOST people on the Island, right?
So, what is that? Some kind of cross-fandom reference?
I'm sure someone else noticed this, but I still feel like a geek for realizing it, heh.
By the way, I'm caught up on Pushing Daisies and I AM IN LOVE :D. Definitely my favorite new show. It's just so gorgeous and quirky and funny and witty and original... I LOVE it. I'll describe it as having the quirkiness and kitsch-iness of Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events and Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amelie Poulain, with the wit of Dead Like Me and the past-paced dialogue of The West Wing. 'Really intelligent writing and definitely something that struck precisely to my taste. I adore all the characters too, but my favorite has got to be Chuck. I want all of her outfits!
If you haven't seen it, go and do so :D.
Okay, well, back to Chuck.
Oh, yeah, and for the record, I know that Chuck/Sarah is the obvious choice, but I'm TOTALLY going for Casey/Sarah for the moment.
And, one more thing... I TOTALLY called on the girl playing Sarah to be Australian ;). It's her accent. She's got that dubious, odd way of speaking when Aussies pose as Yanks, hee... *Caderyn is smug*
