Heroes, Criminal Minds, & Motorsports
I think I need to put on a "HIATUS" sign again :(. My connection's gone to the crapper... And at such an inconvenient time too, what with all the fall line-up coming back. Basically, I haven't been able to see the new episodes except the first two of Heroes.
- Claire is sooo pretty... That Wes kid annoys me, for some reason. Where have I seen the actor playing him before? And it's odd that he should have the same power as Nathan's. My sister and I joked that, 'Ooooh... As it turned out, Nathan had two illegitimate children and the other one is Wes!!!' Well, I also did say, pre-season, that Wes kinda looked like Claire's brother, Lloyd. But going back to Nathan, I was glad that Claire called him to talk about Peter. I was put off when I thought Claire wasn't affected by the Petrelli brothers' flight to save the world. Not a big fan of Nathan's beard. I hope he's shaved it since then.
- Peter is HOT! But I'm not digging the 'being-shipped-off-to-Ireland' plotline. Booo...ring. I wanna see him back by Nathan's side, dammit!
- Mohinder is dullsviille too, but, okay, he's working with HRG to bring down the company from the inside. Okay... That 'Midas-touch' guy surely had a 'handy' power, huh? Hardy har har... I'm so hilarious with my puns *sarcasm*.
- Mohinder-Matt-Molly living in Chandra Suresh's old place!!! Triple-Ms!!! Man, Mohinder/Matt are like a gay couple already... Kinda cute. I always liked how Molly thinks of Matt as her hero.
- Poor Sulu George Takei PapaNakamura!!! I was hoping he'd stick around longer...
- I'm not too fond of Hiro being 'separated' from the group again by having his own storyline in the past, but, well, that's kinda made up by the fact that we get to see the delish' David Anders! I'd figured that he was Kensei beforehand, but I was kinda annoyed that Hiro did the work for him and didn't take the glory. Especially leading that pretty swordsmith's daughter straight into Kensei's arms! Hiro needs a woman, dammit!
- I like the two new heroes in, ummm, man I forgot their names! Maya and Alejandro? The twins? You know I'm always for brother-sister duos, but I'm kinda, 'WTF?!?' about their powers... Ahhh, well, we'll see.
- Where in the heck are Sylar, Niki, Micah, and D.L.? And I want to see Kirsten Bell!
In the mean time, I have finally managed to watch Criminal Minds season 2. dexterette was right, in that some of the episodes resembled the Saw series and other horrors: The doll at that kid's prison; the choice for the soccer girls to off one of their own; James Van Der Beek (out of all actors!) doing the crazy, split-personality, online-broadcasting, biblical-times-murdering-of-sinners (poor Reid!). It's disturbing that I like this show so much... Especially because I'm learning a bit more about the minds of serial killers. My favorite episode is probably the female Jack the Ripper case. It's interesting to watch a female serial killer.
I want to write more, but I'm almost out of time. I so would like to mention F1, but I'm so superstitious that I don't want to jinx Fernando by speculating too much on his races. If you're curious about what I think of the last few races, I'd summarized it in a comment to x--leah--x earlier: LINK. All I know is that, I'm so anxious about Brazil that I kinda hope the day never arrives *shrug*.
On a related case... I'm so stoked that Casey Stoner won the MotoGP Championship! Go Aussie! He's really kind of like the non-irritating version of Hamilton. I definitely like Dani Pedrosa the best in MotoGP, and if I really think about it, Stoner was Pedrosa's main rival in the lower series, yet I don't begrudge Stoner of his victory at all! Even if he HAS been so dominating the season. Hmmm... Maybe it's just Casey's nice attitude? I still hope that it's Dani's turn next year though. It'll be hard, especially with Lorenzo & co. coming from the 250cc to MotoGP. I've gotten into the lower series recently too (250cc and 125cc), and surprise, surprise, my picks are all Spanish. Alvaro Bautista in the 250cc (he is SO CUTE btw) and Hector Faubel in the 125cc.
If A1 GP had a Spanish team, I'd probably go for them too... Speaking of which, it's odd that Spain's not participating. Is Alonso really the only race car driver they have? Probably not, haha... But, yeah, because there's no Spanish team, I've decided to go for Team New Zealand (who's leading at the mo --- Go Jonny Reed), because Australia kinda sucks, and Team France, parce que j'apprends leur langue maintenant. Bad luck about them going down to England in the Rugby World Cup though :(.
Whoops, I'm out! Last thing, I promise. I'm so excited about Villeneuve joining NASCAR next year!
