I am safe. I have class on Monday evenings, but I had not even started to drive over to Columbus. Some of my friends were in the extra long lockdown area in class, but the nice thing about doing grad school in social work is that I know 95% of the professors in my school know exactly what to do in terms of working with a bunch of people in a crisis situation. I am super grateful that so few people were injured and the only person who has died so far was the suspected perpetrator.
I've been pretty glued to Facebook to check in on my friends, but now that everyone has checked in safe, I'm going to do some self-care with lunch, hot tea, and Gilmore Girls.
