I should definitely post here again. Thanks for the idea, Xime! I happen to be at work, and bored.
Of course, I should be reading. I've taken three classes this summer, two during the first session, and just one now. And working two jobs, though the other is done for the summer, and I (and Dan) decided to resign. Free time! I want to know what that is again!
Life is good! We LOVE the new house. LOVE. I really hope everything works out so we can stay in this place (INTERRUPTING MYSELF HERE to say that there is a REALLY BIG fly flying around here --- bigger than a bee! EEW!), because it's such a great house, a great neighborhood, and I LOVE having Cadenza in the backyard. Maybe we'll get a goat to keep her company.
We're coming to CA in a few weeks -- a few of my high school friends and I are renting a house in Palm Springs instead of going to our high school reunion. I mean, come on...$216 for one evening, or $230 for a whole weekend? The sad thing is, Dan only has two days off from work, so he's not going to be in CA long. :( And though I'm staying longer, it'll only be a few days, because life is gonna suck for Dan when I'm not there. No, seriously. He'll have to take the bus to and from work, and he'll have to feed Cadenza and clean her poop in my absence...and have to cook all for himself. I mean, he does those things when I'm there, but it's much easier with two people, and when he takes the bus, he's also gonna lose a lot of time in transit. :( So I feel bad.
What I don't like is that almost as soon as I get back from CA, I'm going to have to start classes. Again. Non-stop fun! But at least when the Fall semester is over, it'll REALLY be over. Finally. I should actually be applying for grad school NOW...and taking the GREs like, yesterday...but one thing at a time, right? If I don't do all that in time for Spring semester admission, I guess one semester off from school won't hurt me. BUT...I want to get it all done asap!
