Post a single sentence from each WIP you have (or as many as you want to pick). No context, no explanations. No more than one sentence!
1. He sang them strange nursery rhymes that involved things like "salt and burn, them ol' bones, then the spirits, will be gone" and "Make a star in a star, a circle 'round about, a Man 'cross a bird, a turtle in between, past the bird, a cobbler's shoe, and all that's left is three of you trapping the devil down".
2. In a move that both delighted and frightened the council he took the Armies of Hell and made war with Heaven for 5 years and stole his brother back.
3. Colonel Sheppard walked into his new office, grabbed his shoulders, and proceeded to lay upon him the most lewd kiss Evan had ever received.
4. It had to of been a family business, as Sirius could quite clearly remember James ducking to avoid being hit with several nasty curses being flung his way by an irate Lily, while she called him a whore.
5. So it was after a rather trying day with both She-Who-Speaks-Nonsense and He-Who-Speaks-Nasally and a side dish of School Counselor, who also wanted to talk about “feelings” but didn’t have the built in security clearance that Daniel offered so even if Jon had wanted to say a word, which he didn’t, he couldn’t, that Jon broke an almost 10 month sobriety streak and went to Jacks house during the day to get some beer.
6. It is assumed that an unknown artifact of Gryffindor was used, but when asked, Harry Potter, the Man-Who-Saved, answered “a bidet”
7. Less than thirty minutes later, a much more experienced and disheveled James was pushed out of the compartment
8. The Marines were like big enthusiastic puppies who could kill you; the Scientists weren't cowed by ANYONE, even those with a gun; and not even a full month had passed before Sheppard had brought yet another alien home to Dr. Weir, had presumably flashed his puppy eyes at her and asked if he could keep this huge, rather feral man who had followed him home.
9. When no outraged squawk came from the golden bird he supposed that perhaps Phoenix’s abilities were just a little overrated.
10. When Vernon found out, well, that’s a story for another time, but it basically boils down to the fact that “mom” was a former gender reassignment surgery recipient, another thing that Vernon didn’t know, and all of this new knowledge led to a rather spectacular heart attack.
Apparently I write long sentences. Like small paragraph sized sentences. And some large paragraph sized sentences. But they don't feel like run on sentences, just very involved ones.
