Amidst all the questions, all the presents, and all the shots dedicated to delinquency, we made it through the holiday. He'll be home on Wednesday and no one knows how that is going to go. My mom is being very optimistic but, it's hard to be with him. Who knows.
Two holidays down and now we are just counting down the days. Do I really want to go with my mom to get him? I mean, he and I never really got along all that great. But, I do love the kid and missed him making the holidays a little bit more enjoyable. On the other hand, I didn't miss him making me cry. Wonderful kid...has such a way with words!
People made a few comments about my weight today. Finally my mom was like, "Ya know what? Cara can't help all the stress she's been through since the summer. Some of us gain and others lose." When she said that, I thought to myself, shit, why not just tell them I have a fucking ed while you're at it?! Oh, you're just great mother.
Other than that, nothing too exciting happened this Christmas. I got money and gift certificates (because I am a pain in the ass to shop for). We are celebrating Christmas here on Wednesday. I won't get much then either though... I didn't really ask for anything this year. Well, maybe a better year in 2005 but only fate knows what will become of that one......
