ZwCAD, progeCAD and etc

Feb 12, 2008 11:08

Hello!

Have anyone used ZwCAD, progeCAD and analogs?
These CADs cost much less than AutoCAD, offer full compatibility with 2008 and some more features than AutoCAD has.

Is it so? :)

Thank you.

We choose to switch from reselling AutoCAD to reselling ZwCAD more than a year ago, which was quite a risk. It's by far not better than AutoCAD, but it's quite good, getting better and better and far cheaper at the least. Let's say a 7.5 for ZwCAD on a scale of 1 to 10. Where AutoCAD scores a 9.5. You can download it and use it 30 days for free from www.ZwCAD.org. It's worth the try. Maybe it works for you. It is very look-a-like, so it's easy to switch. It doesn't ruin your dwg-files, not even if they contain fields or dynamic blocks (those features are not in ZwCAD).

We switched to ZwCAD

We choose to switch to selling ZwCAD about 6 months ago, in the UK. With the release of ZWCAD 2009 the functionality and performance of ZWCAD is much better than it used to be. I think that your score of 7.5 could probably be increased to at least 8.5, maybe 9.
