I have a question:
my boss is wanting me to create a matrix of all the block types in a drawing (say like, "blackjack table", "craps table", "roulette table"), that will dynamically keep track when I add or delete a certain type of block.
It would ideally work like a finish schedule (for those of you familiar with interior design/architecture).
I think AutoCAD will do this based on the information in the blocks themselves, but I'm not sure what to do or how to set it up.
Would I need to draft/draw my own legend/table off to the side of the layout, and insert some sort of text that links to block information? Is there a way to export the block data to excel so that it doesn't look like crapola? Might it be possible that AutoCAD 2007 even has this as an automated feature?
I'm not afraid of doing it the old fashioned way, but I don't want to reinvent the wheel if I don't have to, y'know?
Any help would be highly appreciated. Thanks!! :)
