Keeping both eyes on things.

Eiji, are you all right?

As far as ideas go, maybe the slapfest yesterday wasn't the best one you've had?  ^___~

[ Private: I can't take my eyes off things even for a moment, hmm?  At least the...slapfest yesterday evening didn't get out of hand.  The issue of Eiji's manager, on the other hand...  I'd best let Oishi know.  If anything, Eiji and Oishi should get first dips on strangling this weasel. ]

[ Oishi: I don't think we need to alarm Eiji just yet, especially since Eiji's still recovering from yesterday.  But I think you should know this.

I did some research on Eiji's manager.  I thought it was weird his name didn't come up on my searches.  He's been Eiji's manager for the past four years, I figured he must have left some track record in the movie industry.  It turns out I was looking in the wrong place.

Eiji's manager -- Doihara Ran -- has three separate restraining orders in effect.  And six charges of harassment and attempted blackmail from different individuals, and a charge of extortion by one talent management agency.  Three of these cases are still pending in court.  All of these are from the last five years.  Before that, Doihara wasn't in movie industry at all.  Five years ago, he used to manage an Olympic-hopeful gymnast, by the name of Arakawa Sachiko.  There was a scandal surrounding Doihara about an attempted assault on another gymnast.  After which Doihara filed a suit against two sports magazines for libel, and the companies filed a counter-suit for assault on a reporter and property destruction.  The cases were settled out of court and kept under the wrap because our illustrious National Olympic Committee didn't want that much noise so close to the selection period.  But Doihara was, shall we say, strongly recommended to sever all ties to the gymnastics industry?

Arakawa Sachiko's father filed one of the three restraining orders six months after the incident, on the grounds of her physical and emotional duress while under Doihara's management, as well as continued harassment even after Doihara was fired.  I was able to dig up some confidential files, and I can't mention details, but it seems he used to monitor Arakawa-san's cell phone usage without her knowledge.  Eiji's phone is most definitely tempered with, and Eiji said Doihara gave him that phone.

When we go back, I think we need to have a serious talk with Eiji about all this. ]

[ OOC: Posted 5/12/2012, backdated to 4/15/2012, a day after the sundown slapfest.  This was what kept Fuji distracted and away from all the fun. ;)  Sorry this is sooooo epic late, Lurk and Mei~!  And I don't actually know anything about legal proceedings, so...if anyone spots a mistake, oops? ]
