after a certain amount of raining on snow loses its luster is known by the almost derogatory term of slush. People never seem happy when theyre saying that word. That's mostly due to the fact that slush is entirely useless. It's impossible to build igloos with, sledding down hills covered in slush is no fun and good luck to anyone who tries to make slushballs to throw at people.
Most of the time snow is just cold and miserable but it does have its shinning moments. Slush, however, does not. After being worn down it only retains snow's negative qualities. You could not find a more perfect symbol of frigid wet banality; once white glorious snow now begining its enthropic journey to a brown puddle on the side of the road. Soon it will provides no entertainment to anyone except mosquitoes depositing larvae.
i suppose we all feel like slush every now and again. Hell, i've felt cold, rained on and useless lately... i could say im having a slushy year.
If i had been thoughtful enough to think of a new years resolution it would have been "stop being so damn slushy all the time."
"pulling america out of the slush age." should be our next presidential candidate's platform. A tough stance against mushy corrupt politics.
"Stop slush" should be the war cry of thosands of protesters worldwide trying to open our eyes to the melting of our beautiful snowball.
