I really need to get something other than my cellphone camera. In the mean time, I kill time by taking photos on my cellphone.
Today, I made plushie food. I need to finish the rest,
but this stuff turned out better than I thought. ^^
I made chicken pot pie again;
I added pumpkin this time, but changed
the spices.
I liked the pumpkin, but I the new spices
not so much. Back to the drawing board!
Started a sewing project, finally.
This is my sloper. It has seen better days.
Took me like, two days to finish
drafting the pattern. Internet breaks:
not generally conducive to getting anything done.
Rough start. First of all. The standard size
machine needle kept damaging the fabric. And I started
doing my seam finishes like this....
...but I told myself to stop being lazy
and do the Hong Kong finishes. And it still looks
kinda wonky, I think. :/
And then I got stuff done! A few hours
a day after work.
Sorry for the photo. Had to take it with the timer on my phone,
back view of the still very WIP shirt. You can't see it here, but
this is one of the least borked set-in sleeves I've ever sewn. *hates sleeves*
Aaand. This is what I'm reading now.

Things have been nice lately. Finding the lost phone, actually getting a few things done. I still have a bit of the drowning-under-as-yet-unfulfilled-obligations, in many senses. But for the time at least, things are feeling optimistic. Must be the new year.
