I think I'll just make some soup when I go home.

I got a fiance yesterday! I work at a museum called Locust Grove, which is George Rogers Clark's house, and they preserved the house/furniture/items (not all of them are from the original house, but they're all from the time period) so that people can come see what it would have looked like in 1820.

Well, there's a few of us that get to dress up and pretend like we're members of the family in 1820. I play Ann Heron Croghan, who's 21 that year...and gets married in 1821 to Major Thomas Jessup.

And we just had a guy volunteer to be him!

His name's Scott, he's 17, and yes, he's very nice! So he's really just my character's fiance, but we get to pretend like we're courting and all of that- ballroom dancing, its fun.

But the best part is, Major Thomas Jessup's pretty much sworn enemy is Ann's older brother George Croghan...and we have a guy who plays him, too!

::breathes:: Oh thank God. You scared me for a second. I don't have enough money yet for wedding gifts. I'm just glad he's a nice boy. Don't get too carried away dearie, or you might end up like those floozy actresses who fall for their characters's romantic interest.

... ::an actress who fell for her romantic interest:: Riiiiight.

Anyways, have fun with it!
