i just finished up and emailed in my final paper for my stupid, bullshit, ridiculous theatre capstone class. the paper is also bullshit, a bit arrogant, and i skimmed (very briefly) through the book we were supposed to write A BOOK REPORT ON. yes, a book report, in a capstone class. ::said in a stuffy old british accent:: peter hall's diaries: the story of a dramatic battle. a 500 page book of diary entries from peter hall, theatre director, writer, schmoozer who helped give the national theatre in london its name in the 70's and 80's.
i did, however, manage to use the words "post-modernist," "post-structuralist," "masturbatory" and (at x's request, though not a challenge considering the book is about one of the major theatre companies in Britain and the man who made it so) "hegemonic."
now, i am officially done with the theatre school.
