I just found out that Barack Obama has an Asian niece and after checking out his family tree, I think he's got one of the most diverse around. He really is a great American cross-section. The only way he could have a more diversity was if his wife was half latino or something. I vaguely knew he had a sister. I didn't know or maybe didn't remember that she's his half-sister who is half white/half Indonesian. Maya married a Chinese Mayalsian born in Canada. It's just interesting to see Sasha, who I think looks more like Barack's father or maybe Michelle's brother, to see her next to Savita, who looks more like her father. One would never guess that they're related.
Interestingly, Savita's sister, Suhaila embodies Maya's Indonesian ancestry. I'm not sure who Malia looks like, but it's not really either of her parents. Also I find it mind-blowing that she's almost exactly a year younger than Aafje. I don't know if it's TV or stylists, but I thought she was older.
