Party Down

So technically it's still the 1 year anniversaire of my Postcrossing addiction, although it is officially on 18 Feb.  I feel bad that I haven't been posting about cards since I changed my address but guess it shows I have more interesting things going on now.  Admittedly I don't get as excited about cards anymore, although that's mainly due to Korea's slow postal system.  It drives me nuts that I'm sending AND receiving less per month then when I lived in the states, even though I have more traveling now!

Also I had a major 'duh' moment just now.  I was looking for GD&TOP's MV for "Oh Yeah" when I stumbled upon a MV titled "We Belong Together."  I was like, that song is on the mix tape with BEAST, SUJU, and others I made during Asian Appreciation Month in '09. But I was like, it can't be the same... I would have made the connection when I started listening to Big Bang.  So I watched the video and it was the same vid/song that I had happened across back then!  It was so weird bc 1) I can't find a Korean version, 2) TOP's voice isn't gravelly like now 3) Only DG and TOP are heard (plus the chick who isn't even credited).  Those are also my excuses for why I didn't connect the dots.  Looking at the description, the song came out in 2006, but it's surprising how heavily "gangsta" it still looks!  It was so ridiculous when I saw it before and now it's doubly so.  I'm still flabbergasted that I didn't make the connection (although this probably explains why I initially thought they were a JPOP group).

Also, I can't find a full version of "Oh Yeah" even though I know I saw it a couple months ago.  WTF YG Entertainment?

Anyway, I didn't go to the mixer but I don't feel too bad about it.  I really want to go, but I don't want to go by myself.  Talk about a crazy catch-22.  The whole point of going to the party is to make friends, but I don't have friends to go with me, so I don't want to go to the party.  Haha, I wish I could just buck-up and do it!
