Yay, Friday!

wondering, am I jumping into a cavern only to break my head open and snap my neck or am I standing on the edge ready to soar? Either way, doing my best to live and enjoy the moments as they come.

who you were then isn't worth who I am now #nocontext

Among the various horrors I've encountered for the past 2 weeks, these win:
Last Tuesday, I received a phone call telling me on of my kids was found cold and stiff. He was 1st believed to have drank himself to death, but it was the detoxing that killed him.

Last Thursday, I found and spoke with my guy who had been missing since November. I couldn't find anyone, who had seen him since 18 Nov. He was surprised that no one told me where he was and that he's ok. Damn you HIPAA!
-I got to see him yesterday. He was shocked that he wasn't forgotten, and even more shocked that we went to visit. Hopefully, he'll be home next week.

My chick, who I thought had a 1 time horrid encounter had two- two different guys, unrelated, two different locations, in the same 24 hour time period. makes me think that I'll play Niska and we can play to the pain... *grumble*grumble*stompy*grumble*

Figured out the details of updating the CAAT website for the most part. Yay!

Drawdio was tackled and failed. will take it to the next dorkbot meeting to see if someone there can figure out what I did wrong.

All of us should laugh more!
Laughter reduces the levels of certain hormones, namely cortisol, growth hormone, epinephrine and dopac, which are associated with stress response. Thus it helps relieve stress, depression, anxiety, grief, anger and irritation. Laughing also decreases pain by releasing a hormone, endorphins. It improves our attentiveness, pulse and heart rate.
- Blood Pressure: When you laugh, blood pressure increases and then decreases lower than normal. This generates deeper breathing, which in turn sends more oxygenated blood through the body.

- Mental boost: Laughing boosts self-confidence and gives mental strength to cope with conflicts and challenges in life. It also helps us come out of anxiety and depression.

- Brain stimulation: Both sides of the brain are stimulated during laughing, thereby reducing stress and muscle tension, enhancing attentiveness and brain function.

- Exercise: Laughter exercises the diaphragm, midsection, face, muscles in the back, abdominal organs and intestinal tract. The positive effect on the intestinal tract aids in the absorption and digestion process of the digestive system.

- Develop your sense of humor and you will find you are more productive, a better communicator, and a superior team player.
