Nothing is really real unless it happens on television (1)

Or so says Daniel Boorstin. But we are all perfectly aware that reality is the moment between cut and action, not that between action and cut.

Luckily for us we have reality TV to keep reality in check.

Don't say I didn't warn you!

This week on Top Chef: Yay! Restaurant wars!!

Dale was voted off because of his terminal lack of communication skills and inability to overcome the bad feelings he had previously generated with Lisa and Spike. Spike did his normal weasel act and wiggled his way out of even being considered for knife-packing.

Lisa -- ugh, Lisa, Lisa, Lisa!!
She so deserved to go home. She says she's familiar with Asian cooking, but she keeps screwing up the rice. The fucking RICE!!! It's Asian fucking cooking!!! Oh my God, I was so mad when they kicked Dale off. Yes, I understand why, he was in charge, he should've been able to handle his chefs. But like he said, he knew he was in for a fall because not one of those three could've handled this challenge.

Antonia was so smart to pick her Wedding Wars team. They already knew they got along, they already knew they had the same basic vision (although admittedly Richard is a little more high cuisine than Stephanie and Antonia, but not by much anymore), they already knew that having any of the other three on that team would be a disaster. All three deserve to be final 3.
I was a little worried when they decided to go with casual American but it worked out perfectly for them, playing to each one's strengths.

I am so looking forward to the cookbooks those girls are going to write. Wouldn't it be cool if they got together and wrote as partners? Not so much Richard, because he's a little too "molecular gastronomy" for my taste but I'm certain he'll have his fans.

I can't wait until next week!
