Bad Day stories
Over at Browncoats I've been writing some fanfic. Originally it was just a single Zoe story, but it's expanded to include other characters, both Whedonverse and my own. I'm about halfway through the third story, "Inara's Bad Day", and am writing it in my blog as a really rough draft. It includes a link to the Zoe story, but I think I'm going to go ahead and post "Zoe's Bad Day" here. I want someplace that has all the stories in correct order, even if they're separated by non-fanfic posts. I'll post the finished Inara story here too.
Don't mind the writing in them; I know I'm not a good writer. Not enough exposition or the wrong kind or something. It wasn't a problem for the Zoe or Jin stories because they're not the thinking kind of girls, but I feel Inara should have a fair amount of interior dialogue, even though it only covers an hour or two. She's probably my least favorite character overall -- which is not to say I don't like her, just not as much -- so it's a little difficult trying to get into an Inara mood to write. Anyway, it's the ideas I really like, and I love my whole story arc which I think stays true to the 'Verse and the characters. I hate fanfic that changes the characters' character - slashfic or 'ships that shouldn't sail.
