I just finished watching the season premiere of CSI. The main episode was okay, still loving the fact that the original CSI mostly does multiple crimes per episode. (I hated CSI: Miami being all about David Caruso brooding over one murder per epi, and I never got into CSI: NY, too dark.) At the end I was getting a little bit ticked that they showed so much of John Mayer -- God, I HATE that guy's songs! -- but the teasers for next week saved it. Loved the little model of the crime scene, as did everybody else blogging about it on the internet, but what really got to me was Catherine's rape.
I found the entire post-rape scene completely believable. That part where she calls the Crime Lab and then changes her mind -- that same decision is made by thousands of victims. Unless the circumstances are clear-cut -- the rapist was a complete stranger who attacked the victim on the street or broke into her house -- it's very difficult for a rape victim to face questioning and a potentially lengthy trial. The possibility that Catherine's going to track the killer down herself and maybe even take justice into her own hands -- or maybe let her father handle it -- is intriguing. I wonder if she's going to break down and admit what happened to her friends. And I wonder what Nick saw.
Don't even think of giving me any spoilers!!!
I'm watching House Hunters now, too, and both members of the couple looking for a house teach at Anne Arundel Comm'y College! I took classes there!!! 8)
