And suddenly oil spilt everywhere...

This week I've come to school early and stayed after a lot for AP American review.

Wednesday was fencing. We were in the baswemnt instead of the usual area. I free fenced a lot and also we had a round robin. I fenced Shawn (Sean?) a lot, he's been giving me a lot of helpful advise lately. So fencing was good. Also, Joel was not there and will not be there for a while. Apparently, he broke his hand at work or something.

Thursday was the night before the AP exam, so there was a review after school at 5. We had pizza, and it was a lot of fun. Mr. Welgoss signed the picture we had of him because he would not be there in the morning to see us off. That night was also Acedemic Recognition night. That means sitting in the aud while a bunch of people walk across the stage to get a little certificate. Juniors also got a medal if they had qualified for the recognition all 3 years. In addition, some Juniors got individual awards. Not suprisingly, James got two. Slightly, suprisingly, I didn't get one. I must confess that I was slightly more disapointed than I reasonably should have been. There were a couple awards whith practically identical criteria (leadership and community), maybe 2 math and science, and a couple miscellanious. Sadly, they no longer had one for most improved (which Dana Kunkel won her junior year and I felt a likely candidate to recieve this year). I still got the medal though, and that's kinda cool.

Friday was the AP exam. Leah Rankin had her Welgie Day shirt so the proctors asked what Welgie Day was. When we explained, they took the pictures we had of him and put them on the front blackboard. This was met with applause. The exam was kinda easyish, but my second essay was kinda weak. After the exam we went back to school and had 6th period lunch, so I sat with Dennis, Cakes, Coop, Andromeda and some other people.

Me and James came up with the idea of making a webcomic about US History. We could have all sorts of nerdy jokes. Like about how Henry Clay couldn't get himself elected out of a broom closet, or how any Whig candidate who gets elected promptly dies.

We went to get stuff for Mothers Day, and afterwards we went to Media Play because a had some old gift cards and I wanted to see if they were still good. They were, so I bought myself a Nintendo DS. Can't afford any games for it yet, though.

This weekend we did a lot of relative visiting. So not a lot of time to hang out with friends or entertain myself with computer-type electronics. Bleh. I also made no progress on my English project.
