Lots of shopping today
I'm on D's work laptop right now. Wheee, wireless is so cool! Much faster than our crappy DSL.
This weekend had been pretty busy. Yesterday was my beauty errand day. Today was my shopping day. I drove to Walnut Creek this morning at 11 a.m. to search for bridesmaids gifts. First stop, Macy's. I found a paisley print sundress in fall colors on clearance at the Macy's junior section of all places. Rehearsal dress, score! Next stop, browsing aimlessly for BM gifts and birthday gifts. I swear, I have been stressing way too much over these. I didn't want to get them jewelry that they might not like or bath and body stuff. I found this cute little gift shop called Charmed and found silk jewelry rolls and girly flip flops. I really wish I had my digital camera to take pics, because the jewelry rolls and flip flops are cute. Everything was really affordable, so I'm still at a loss what else to buy the girls. I went to Nordstrom BP and thought about buying them tank tops, but then again, I'm positive they all have tank tops.
On top of that, two of my BMs have birthdays in the next week. I found a cute crinkly lace trimmed tank top at Arden B for one BM. I liked it so much, I bought one for myself in a different color. But I still haven't found anything for the later birthday coming up next weekend. After driving back from Walnut Creek, I went to Staples to buy cover stock for the programs. Last night, I printed out a program mockup on regular 20 lb weight paper, and it seemed too flimsy. I forgot that school is starting again because I have never seen so many people in Staples before. I stopped by Target to buy some shampoo and conditioner for color treated hair, and found super duper cute birthday cards. Okay, so now I have the perfect birthday cards, but not the perfect gifts. We're all turning the big 30 this year, so I feel like I ought to get them something more special. The second BM birthday is in SoCal, and we're flying down for one day next weekend for a surprise party. The first BM birthday is on Tuesday, and the tank top is kind of a wimpy gift. Need to brainstorm more....
Walking around today, I felt frickin' glam with my new dramatic highlights. I really love them, and I kind of wish I didn't have to dye them dark again. But then again, I really don't want to have pictures of me on my wedding day with tiger striped hair, no matter how funky cool the highlights are.
