Deadpool & Cable Ultimate Collection ( & related ficlet)

Surprised that no-one seems to have posted this one here yet. Seems Marvel's re-releasing the whole Cable & Deadpool series under the 'Ultimate Collection' (not to be confused with the Ultimate Universe, the Ultimates or whatever else the word 'ultimate' has been used for lately). Volume 1 was out on the 24th of February.

Terrific ficlet!

OH Marvel the things you will do to get my money out of my hands. Not too happy about the name change because I hate it when they fuck around with titles making it harder to find them down the road.

I doubt anyone selling comics is going to be too keen on it either - especially if they're used to filing things in alphabetical order. Still, aside from that at least the new editions look like a pretty good deal.

Yeah, tell me about it. I swear I'd just finished collecting the old editions and moaning about the lack of recap pages when I heard this version would be coming out. Maybe I can convince someone to buy it for me for my birthday. >.>

Also safe to say that, in the name of decency, Cable is understating there quite considerably. ;)

Hm. I think I'd like the new title more if it was more in the style of the last few issues of Cable & Deadpool, with the original title very obviously crossed out.

Ahaha, oh that would be classic if they'd done it that way! Especially if they'd, say, added a new foreword from Deadpool about how it was always really his series from the start. But it probably would've taken up too much space on the cover, or something. Ah well.
