Great news!
The mom of the kid that I hugged that I thought was uncomfortable, was okay with the hug. I told her that I wouldn't hug any more of her children and that I sensed her discomfort while hugging her son. She told me that 'he needs more hugs' and to keep doing it.
I'm still miffed that some schools don't allow students to hug, because it's such an innocent gesture. It's not like kids are making out in the hallways!
Now that I am 16, I am going to ask people if I can hug them before I do, but I just might end up doing it anyway...
When I hug my brother, he freaks out and screams "GET OFF OF ME!" Dad yells and orders me to leave him alone. Mom just watches with a smile/amused expression on her face. Mixed messages. I'm more scared of him, so I usually stop after he tells me to. Now I'm just talking about random related subjects...
