Greetings,
First, I want to thank all of you for your kind words, prayers and well-wishes for my mother. It means a lot. She's currently in an aftercare facility and doing well. We've had to add a few more chairs to her room at the facility. There are a few members of the nursing staff who are NCIS fans. My mother's room has become a very popular place on Tuesday nights at 8 pm. I guess word got around that Mrs. Carroll's kid is "Director Vance." I make sure to visit her in the afternoon on Tuesdays. I'd hate to disrupt their Tuesday-night ritual.
I watched "Deliverance" Tuesday night (did I mention that I never watch an episode before it airs?), and it was terrific. Wasn't it great to have "Mike Franks" back ? I absolutely love that character, and Muse [Watson] plays the hell out of it! I love the Gibbs/Franks relationship. I wish we could see Franks more often; I'll put that in the suggestion box at work.
A couple of things for you to keep in mind: One of the central subjects in "Deliverance" was Gibbs' black ops file. So, Vance has a file on Gibbs and Gibbs has a file on Vance. Interesting. "Taylor Carlson," I just read your message and you said the same thing. There was a scene in Vance's office where the two talk about Gibbs' file. Gibbs says, "I got nothing to hide" Vance replies, "Everybody's got something to hide." Words to remember, folks.
To "Dutchgirl07, " thanks for your kind words. You wanted to know the time frame from when an episode finishes filming, to when it actually airs. NCIS has a bit of wiggle room as far as air dates go. The Vance-centric episode finished filming mid-January. The editing process has taken about a month. I believe it will air in March, but because most episodes are not dependent on last week's episode for continuity, the producers can decide to air it at a later date. Which means you could possibly see an episode that was filmed after the Vance-centric episode first. OK, that was a lot easier to explain in my head; I hope I haven't confused you.
To "NCIS48": Welcome. thanks for writing back. I've stayed clear of answering Tony/Ziva questions, but I thought about yours. "When are Tony and Ziva going to kiss?" Answer: I have no idea, but let's dig a little deeper. For every reason that they should start a real romance, I believe there's an equally good reason why they shouldn't. It's obvious that there's a chemistry between the two. I find their relationship much more interesting because they are not romantically involved. Anyone else with me on this? Remember, they are federal agents. Their lives are on the line every day. Once you cross that romantic line ... where do you go from there? It becomes a very different type of show. Not bad, just different.
It's really good to be back in touch with you all ... let's chat again soon.
