Author: cablackwood
Pair: Kyuhyun x Donghae
Rating: PG
Genre: I don’t really know what to call it but I believe mystery/suspense, angst(in the future) and slight crack will cover it
Words: 3,073
Summary: Kyuhyun has developed a different addiction and Donghae wants to know what it is. But Kyuhyun hasn't told him. He hasn't told anyone for that matter. He has been sneaking out late at night and staying out until the wee hours. Only one other person knows and that is the person who introduced him to it. This new addiction is dangerous but Kyuhyun doesn't care. As long as he gets his fix he could care less. But this new addiction will cause the lives of Super Junior to change, some more than others.

There was a knock at the door, and Leeteuk walked over and answered it. He paused for a moment when he saw the person standing on the other side of the door.

“Hyung, are you not going to let me in anymore?” Kibum said with a smirk playing at his lips.

Leeteuk stood there at the door, his eyes wide, for a moment before he shook himself and pulled the other into a tight hug.

“Kibummie!” He shouted, squeezing the other tightly.

At hearing who was at the door, everyone that was in the kitchen jumped from their seats and ran to the door and saw with amazement that their long lost member was held tightly in their leaders arms.

Donghae was the first to say something. “HYUNG! Don’t hog Bummie!” He said while trying to pull Leeteuk off of the younger man, just so his arms could replace the others.

At Donghae acting like a little child, Kibum laughed and gladly hugged Donghae back with as much enthusiasm that he could and still be in his comfort zone.

“Hey Donghae.”

“Yah! That’s no way to talk to your hyung!” Donghae complained, but let it go and ruffled the others hair.

Once Donghae had let Kibum go long enough, the younger made his rounds and hugged each member with a smile on his face and a laugh playing at his lips. Ryeowook mentioned that dinner was ready and they all headed into the kitchen with a much different atmosphere. It had been a while since Kibum had visited the dorms and they were all ecstatic that he had.

“So, why have you decided to visit?” Sungmin asked, not really caring as long as he was there, he was just curious to know the reason.

Kibum chuckled, “Do I need a reason to visit my family?”

At that, it seemed that Leeteuk was about to burst into tears and Donghae threw his arms around him for the nth time that night and hugged him just as tightly as he had when he walked through the front door.

“Where’s Kyuhyun?” Kibum asked when they had finished dinner and were headed to the main room. He hadn’t seen the maknae at all since he arrived, which was odd because Kyuhyun was never one to skip one of Ryeowook’s meals. And if he, on the off chance did, he could usually be seen sitting at the computer pounding away at the computer keys. But he hadn’t seen him there either.

“He’s at the dance studio.” Ryeowook answered, “He’s been working really hard for the promotions of the new album.”

Kibum nodded but from the corner of his eye, he saw Donghae fidget. Something about that statement seemed to bother the other male. And if it bothered him, then something was up. Not much bothered Donghae enough to make him squirm in his seat.

Two movies later, the members were starting to become tired, and Kibum knew that he would soon need to leave. But he knew something was bothering Donghae and he wanted to talk to him. So, once Donghae began to head to his room, Kibum followed him.

He closed the door behind him and walked over to the bed that Donghae was seated on. He had his head in his hands and was taking interest in the floor beneath his feet.

He took a seat next to Donghae and placed his hand on his back and rubbed small circles trying to sooth whatever burden he knew the older was carrying.

“Donghae, what’s wrong?” Kibum asked.

Sighing he looked over at his friend. He hadn’t heard his friend enter his room, but he was glad for his presence. He needed to talk to someone and Kibum seemed like the perfect person to tell. He hadn’t told anyone about his concerns for Kyuhyun, afraid that they would act on his assumptions. But Kibum was the silent type and he knew he wouldn’t say a word to anyone.

“Something’s up with Kyuhyun.” He whispered softly. He really didn’t want to say anything but he needed someone to talk to, to let all he worries out and allow him to complain, if needed. And Kibum was the person to do that with. Kibum would listen and not make any assumptions, like the others, and he would let him talk until he had gotten all he needed to say out and was ready for comments. Sometimes, he never really said anything, just ended up rubbing his back, soothing his worries away. But that little act was enough and even that, Donghae would have liked at that moment.

“Like what?”

Dropping his head in his hands, Donghae groaned. “I don’t know! All I know is that he is hiding something from me. And not just me, he’s hiding it from everyone.”

“What makes you think that?” Donghae rather liked it when Kibum did this. He would just ask questions when needed, even if they were simple ones; it always seemed to draw out more of what Donghae was trying to get out.

“He’s been sneaking out at night, coming home close to five in the morning almost every night.” Looking back up at Kibum, he added, “And get this, he hasn’t been on his computer in three days.” That seemed to break through the actors well constructed mask. His eyes widened and a frown plagued his features.

“Are you sure about that? Maybe you just haven’t been around when he was on it.” Kibum didn’t like where this was going, and he had a feeling he knew exactly where it was going, but he wasn’t going to let that slip and worry his hyung any further. It seemed that Kyuhyun was doing a good job of that.

“I’m positive. I got on it a yesterday and messed around with a few things, seeing if he would notice, and he never said anything. And you know how he used to get when you messed with or even touched his computer. He would go all Heechul on your ass.” Kibum winced at the reference. He remembers all too well how he acts when done so. He was the first to find that out and he, nor any of the other members, ever touched his computer unless Kyuhyun allowed them to, which was always a fat chance.

“Wait, how did you even get on his computer? I thought he had it pass worded?” Kyuhyun was over protective of his computer, he made sure that no one could get on his computer.

Donghae chuckled nervously, “Yeah, I was able to figure it out and I rearranged some things and stuff…” He trailed off.

Mulling what Donghae said over in his mind, he looked over at Donghae and saw a hopeful look in his eyes. He was looking at him like he could actually help, or better yet have the answer he had been searching for. And he did have the answer; he just wasn’t going to give it to him. It was against the rules and he wasn’t about to break them. He had been doing this a lot longer than Kyuhyun has and he knew how to cover and hide his tracks, leaving no trace. “How long has this been going on?” He was afraid of what the answer was going to be. He knew what the answer was going to be and yet he was still afraid of what Donghae was about to say.

Thinking to himself, Donghae tried to think exactly when this had all started. He had been aware of Kyuhyun’s behavior for almost two weeks, but he was trying to think of times when it seemed like it had been sooner. Only coming up with little subtle things, Donghae said, “Maybe three weeks, if not four.”

Kibum’s heart sank to the floor. It started at the same time. Keeping his emotions in check and not allowing them to show on his face. He looked Donghae in the eyes. “I’m sorry hyung. I have no clue what’s going on. Maybe if I knew exactly what he’s been acting like, I might be of more help to you. But since I haven’t been around here for the past few months…”

Suddenly Donghae’s eyes narrowed. “Yeah, why is that?”

Rolling his eyes, he answered, “You know why. I’ve been busy with my acting career.”

Waving that off Donghae kept his eyes glued to Kibum’s. “Yeah, yeah, we all know that. But why does that mean you had to move out of the dorms? You could have gone on with your acting career living here. We all miss you.” He leaned over and hugged his precious Bummie.

“I miss you guys too.” Surprisingly, he laughed to himself. He never really thought that he would miss the chaos that was the Super Junior dorm life. But at this moment, he would gladly move back, and he was starting to regret having moved in the first place. Yeah it was easier on his career but now that he saw what problems were coming up, he was starting to think that maybe they could have been prevented, or at the least, staled if he were there.

Donghae kept his head in the crook of Kibum’s neck, smiling as Kibum’s hand began to rub up and down his back, easing some of the tension that he hadn’t realized he had been carrying.

Fully relaxing into Kibum’s frame, Donghae remembered that he forgot to mention one thing. “I followed Kyuhyun one day. When he snuck off I saw him make a deal. Or at least, I think it was a deal. It looked that way to me.” He felt Kibum stiffen slightly, but he brushed it off. He was too tired to really wonder what it was about. “For a while, I kinda thought that Kyuhyun was an assassin of some sort.” He chuckled at the memory. Looking back on it now, Donghae complete agreed that it was odd. Kyuhyun could never kill someone. He was defiantly not the type…maybe.

Kibum paused, only slightly, in his actions, before resuming them again, the pause not noticeable to Donghae. “A deal?”

“Mhm.” Donghae eyes began to fall. He knew that their conversation was going to end soon, with him falling asleep. “I saw the guy he was with give him a note of some kind.” Donghae paused to yawn, “I tried to get the note, but Kyuhyun stuck it in his jeans pocket. I noticed him pull it out when he got home, but he never put it down. He kept it with him at all times.” The words were slowly starting to trail off as sleep started to creep in.

Kibum noticed this and decided not to say anything other than, “I’m sure it’s nothing. You’re just worrying too much.”

Donghae began to snore. Moving ever so slowly, Kibum pulled away from him and gently placed his head on his pillow and tucked him beneath the blankets. He stood to leave, but brushed Donghae’s bangs out of his face before he left. “You’re worrying too much.” He repeated again and walked out of the room, turning off the lights as he went.

He was going to have to kill Kyuhyun.

Kibum walked out of the dorm and pulled out his phone. Walking to the elevator, he dialed a number before pressing the down button. The phone rang twice before the voice mail picked up. Cursing, Kibum dialed the number again just as the elevator doors opened and he walked inside. He pressed the button for the first floor. The doors closed and Kibum tapped his foot repeatedly on the floor, waiting for Kyuhyun to pick up.

Again, he didn’t pick up. Again, he redialed the same number and again it was not answered.

Kibum kept calling Kyuhyun all the way down to the first floor. Just as he was leaving the building, Kyuhyun picked up.

“Hello?”

“Kyuhyun, its Kibum. Where are you?” He asked while he got into a cab.

“The dance studio.”

“Are you really there, or are you lying?” Kibum may have been the one to introduce Kyuhyun with his current addiction, that didn’t mean that he would tell him the truth. Kibum was sure that he would lie to even him.

“I’m really at the studio. Why?”

Kibum told the driver what address to go to. “Good, stay there. I need to talk to you.” And without waiting for a response, Kibum hung up.

Kibum walked up to the studio and paused to look up at the tall building. It had been months since he walked the halls of this very building. With him focusing on his acting career, there had been no need for him to enter. But he soon would return.

He took one last look at the building before he headed for the door, wondering if Kyuhyun would really be inside. Yeah, he had said that he was there, but he could have been lying. He was staring to do that a lot lately. Then again, he had nothing to hide from him.

Kibum walked up the steps and paused when he saw Kyuhyun walk out of the building. Kibum narrowed his eyes. Kyuhyun had promised that he would stay inside and wait till Kibum had gotten there. But it seemed like he was trying to leave before he got there. Kyuhyun turned to close the door, when Kibum walked up to him and pulled him by the collar and dragged him to the side of the building, where they could speak and not be noticed.

“Yah!” Kyuhyun yelled. He flailed his arms about, trying to get away from whoever had a hold of him while also trying to keep his balance.

Kibum threw Kyuhyun up against the wall and growled out, “Shut up,” in a tone so dark, no one had ever heard the silent reserved Kibum speak. Kyuhyun froze at hearing the familiar voice but then was worried by the dark tone in his hyung’s voice.

“Kibum,” Kyuhyun spoke as soft as he could, acting like anything spoken above a whisper would cause people to jump out of the bushes.

“I said, shut up!” Kibum growled again.

Kyuhyun snapped his mouth shut.

Kibum looked Kyuhyun in the eyes, “I told you to stay inside. Why didn’t you listen?”

Kyuhyun opened his mouth to say something, but Kibum never gave him the chance to speak. “What do you think you are doing? Donghae is getting suspicious,” he hissed.

Kyuhyun waited to see if Kibum would allow him to talk before he cleared his throat. “Donghae just thinks something is up, he doesn’t know what is going on, so I don’t see the problem.”

Kibum pinched the bridge of his nose. “Kyuhyun,” he sighed, “Donghae followed you one day and saw you.”

Kyuhyun’s eyes widened. It was silent for a moment as Kibum watched Kyuhyun think of what to say next. Kyuhyun blinked a few times before he spoke again, in a soft voice, “When? When I was going to the track?”

Kibum shook his head, “No, when you picked up the location. He said he saw you with someone.”

Shit!

“How could you be so stupid? All you’re supposed to do is go and get the location. With you doing that, how could Donghae pick the one guy out and know that that is the one you were meeting. Did you go in and just get the message?” Kibum asked, fearing the answer.

“No,” was all he said.

Kibum closed his eyes and slammed his fist into the wall right next to Kyuhyun’s head, making the younger jump. He had never seen Kibum lose his well composed cool. And it scared even him.

Kibum walked away from him and ran his hands in his hair. He kept his back to him.

“Felipe and I...”

Kibum turned around to look Kyuhyun in the eyes, cutting him off. “Who?”

“Felipe, that’s the guy who gives the locations.”

Kibum sighed and paced in front of him, his hands going to run through his hair every now and then. He laughed to himself when he paused in front of Kyuhyun. “You know his name?” He asked incredulously.

Kyuhyun shrugged, “We talk.”

Kibum looked up to the night sky, as if seeking an answer there. How could Kyuhyun do this? He was almost just as quite as Kibum was. And yet he talks to Felipe. Giving Donghae enough time to notice him and notice that something wasn’t right there. Kibum thought that he had taught Kyuhyun better. That he had listened to him and would follow what Kibum told him. But no, he didn’t listen, and now they were having people, well, person, become suspicious. Kibum had been doing this for about a year now and had never been caught, much less had anyone become suspicious. But with Kyuhyun? He had only been at this for about a month and he already had someone onto him. It wasn’t even a month. Donghae said that he was noticing Kyuhyun’s strange behavior for weeks now. So Kyuhyun hadn’t even made it a month. Kibum got the feeling that this was going to come back and bite them in the ass.

“You guys talk? Kyuhyun, you doing that is going to get you caught, more than you already have been.”

“Don’t worry about it,” Kyuhyun pushed himself off the wall and headed out of the alley that they were in, “Donghae may suspect something is up, but he doesn’t know what is actually going on.” Kyuhyun laughed to himself. “He thinks I’m an assassin.”

Kibum chuckled and looked back towards Kyuhyun. “He told me about that.”

“See? There’s nothing to worry about. I’m not going to let myself get caught.”

Kyuhyun walked to the front of the building with Kibum trailing behind.

“Don’t think about staying up late, waiting for a call.” Kibum looked at the back of Kyuhyun’s head, “There isn’t going to be a race tonight. I was texted an hour ago saying that.” Kyuhyun nodded.

Just as Kyuhyun and Kibum were about to part ways, Kibum turned around. “Kyuhyun-ah!” He called.

Kyuhyun turned around, “Hyung?”

Kibum smirked a little, though it wasn’t noticed by the younger, “I would go home and check your computer.” And he turned around and walked away from Kyuhyun, leaving him to look at his retreating figure with a questionable look in his eyes.
