“Cash? Can I come in?”

Alex waited outside of Cash’s bedroom for a reply. The door opened and Cash raised an eyebrow, as if asking what he wanted.

“Um, our mothers want to see us. They’re waiting in the rose garden.”

Cash groaned as he got up and followed Alex down.

“Hey boys!” Victoria smiled happily as she saw them approaching.
“You wanted to see us?” Cash asked.
“Yes, we have great news,” Alex’s mother grinned. “We’re throwing you an engagement party!”
“Oh…fantastic.”

Cash obviously wasn’t very excited, but Alex seemed to be.

“Also, don’t you think these roses would be great to decorate the aisle at your wedding?” Vicky asked.
“Why can’t we just have a simple, small wedding?” Cash sighed.

Both mothers gasped.

“It’s my son’s wedding!” Vicky gaped. “It needs to be special, sweetie!”
“I don’t want a huge deal made out of this.”
“I know…which is why we are planning this wedding and you are not,” his mother smiled sweetly.

Their party was held just over a week later - five days before the wedding. Everyone in the palace was invited, as well as many people from Alex’s kingdom and both boy’s families.

“This is going to be hell,” Cash complained as he walked with Alex to the main hall.
“It’ll all be over soon though, just smile and try and act like you’re happy about this.”

Cash and Alex both forced smiles onto their faces as they pushed open the large, oak doors that led into the hall.

The place erupted with cheering and applause and the two boys were met by their families. Both of their fathers made short speeches about how happy they were and that they were excited to be handing their thrones over. Cash paled. Both thrones? After the speeches, Cash pulled his father to one side.

“I’m taking the throne to this kingdom, right?”
Gabe nodded, “yes…we’ve already gone over this.”
“But what about the throne to Alex’s?”
“Alex will take that one, of course.”
“B-but how will that work? What’s the point in us getting married if he’s just going to go back to his own kingdom?!”
Gabe rolled his eyes, “you’ll both rule the kingdoms, and you’ll rotate between the two. While you’re in his kingdom, I shall look after ours.”
Cash’s face fell, “but I don’t want to leave here! And I definitely don’t want to rule two kingdoms…I didn’t want to rule one!”
Gave rolled his eyes again, “for God’s sake, Cash! You’ll just have to deal with it, ok?! Stop being so fucking lazy all the time!”

Cash glared at his father before storming across the hall to grab himself a drink. He groaned when all he found was champagne. He was desperate for something stronger, but champagne would have to do. Cash grabbed a glass and downed it in one. Then took another one and wandered around the hall, talking to those who came up to him. Cash’s glass was constantly being refilled by the staff working at the party, so much that Hunter had to step in and stop him drinking any more.

“Dude, how much have you had?!”
“I’ve hardly had anything,” Cash giggled, stumbling slightly.
Hunter rolled his eyes, “you should maybe have a break from the drinking for a while, before you do something stupid.”
“When do I ever do anything stupid?”
“You want a list? Because we might be here a while…”

Cash’s eyes were drawn through the crowd to where Cassadee was standing. He grinned when he saw who she was standing with.

“Marshall?!” he exclaimed.

Pushing his way through the crowd, Cash reached Marshall and wrapped his arms around the stable boy. Marshall jumped in surprise, but then hugged him back.

“You’ve come back,” Cash sighed, happily.
“Yeah…I have.”
“When did you get here?”
“A couple of hours ago…Cassadee dragged me along tonight.”

Cash grinned at Cassadee, who smiled back and then excused herself to give them a little time on their own.

“I’m so glad you’re back,” Cash sighed, still hugging Marshall.
“Yeah, me too,” Marshall admitted. “Cash, you should maybe let me go now…people ma start getting suspicious.”
“I don’t care.”

Marshall struggled out of the embrace and then smiled nervously at the prince.

“Come with me.”

Cash grabbed the other boy’s hand and dragged him out of the hall, despite his protesting.

“Cash, what’s going on?” Marshall asked as he was pulled down an empty corridor.

Cash said nothing, he just pushed Marshall up against the wall and kissed him. It took a few seconds for Marshall to realise what was happening, and then he pushed him away.

“Cash, don’t,” he warned.
“I need you.”
“You’re drunk.”
“I’m not that drunk. I still know what I want…please, Marshall? I miss you so much.”

Their bodies were still pressed flush against each other and they looked at each other, breathing heavily. Cash risked kissing him again. Marshall kissed back. His hands gripped the prince’s hips and he sighed into their kiss. Cash wrapped his arms around Marshall’s neck as his tongue slipped through the other boy’s parted lips. One of his legs went in between Marshalls and he started to grind against him. Marshall gasped and his head fell back. Cash attached his lips to the exposed skin and Marshall’s breathing became heavier. When Cash’s hand trailed down the taller boy’s chest and down to the waistband of his trousers, he was pushed away.

“Cash,” Marshall panted, “this is wrong.”
“But it feels so good.”
“This is your engagement party…”
“neither of us actually proposed…so we’re not really engaged.”
Marshall rolled his eyes, “we should probably get back to the hall before someone sees us.”

Cash grabbed Marshall’s hand, but pulled him in the opposite direction.

“No one will see us in here.”

He pulled him through one of the doors down the corridor and into Gabe’s office, locking the door behind them.

“Cash, this is your dad’s office!”
“I know.”

Cash back the stable boy up against the large, oak desk and kissed him again. Again, Cash tried to get his hand down Marshall’s trousers. At first he was pushed away, but Marshall eventually gave in and gasped when Cash’s hand wrapped around his cock. Marshall whined when the hand disappeared, but then the shorted boy dropped to his knees.

Marshall’s trousers and underwear were pulled to the ground, and Cash smirked up at him.

“I’ve missed this,” Cash sighed, pressing kisses to the boy’s thighs.
Marshall panted and bit his bottom lip, “yeah, me too.”

He had to perch on the edge of the desk to stop his legs from giving way beneath him as Cash took him into his mouth. Marshall’s head was thrown back and he put his hands behind him on the desk as he arched his body up; panting heavily, and trying not to moan too loud.

“Fuck…Cash…I’m gunna…” he was cut off by a moan.

Cash sucking his cheeks in harder and twisting a hand around the base made Marshall come within seconds. Cash had to swallow so not to leave a suspicious stain on the carpet. Some dripped down his chin and he pulled back to lick it off. Marshall was watching from where he was slumped on the desk, desperately trying to catch his breath back. Cash helped him pull his trousers back up and then he was kissed softly.

“Do you want me to…?” Marshall gestured to Cash’s crotch.
Cash shook his head, “I’ll be alright.” He was only half hard; having drunk more than he thought.
“We should probably go then.”
“Yeah…probably.”

They made sure no one was in the corridor before they slipped out of the office. Marshall waited five minutes after Cash had gone back in the hall until he decided to go back in.

When he did, he saw Cash and Alex standing up at the front of the hall, their parents on either side. Marshall stood just inside the hall, listening to what was being said.

Cash was pushed forwards by his father and he looked nervous as he glanced over the crowd of people staring up at him.

“Um…hi, guys,” Cash waved quickly. “I’m Cash and I just wanted to thank everyone for coming and celebrating our engagement.” he glanced at Gabe, who nodded - urging him on. “Um…we’re really excited and can’t believe that, come Saturday, me and Alex will be married and will be your kings…” Cash tried to put some feeling behind it, but he couldn’t bring himself to do it, he looked to Alex for some help.
“So, we’d just like you to have a nice night and thank you for coming.”

The crowd applauded them and Cash groaned at how awkward he felt.

“Cash, kiss Alex,” Vicky told him.
Cash’s eyes went wide and he quickly shook his head, “no way!”
Vicky frowned at him, “don’t show us up and kiss him,” she whispered.
“I don’t want to kiss him in front of so many people. I want our first kiss to be special…I want it to be on our wedding day…” Cash lied, trying to avoid kissing him.

The crowd all awed and Cash blushed.

“That’s so romantic,” Alex’s mother sighed happily.
“Can we go now?” Cash asked.

He turned to leave, but Vicky grabbed his wrist.

“You can go once you kiss him,” she hissed.
“But mum!” he whined.

Vicky looked to her husband for help. Gabe sighed.

“Go on, Cash. Man up.”

Cash stared at his parents in disbelief, then at the crowd. Alex was watching him nervously. Cash stepped up to him and sighed. He cupped Alex’s cheek and leant in slowly. Alex closed the gap and kiss him softly. It only lasted a few seconds and then they both parted. Almost everyone in the hall was grinning at them. Alex shot Cash a slightly disgusted look, which confused him, but then it was quickly covered up. The boys got down off the raised staging and Alex cornered his fiancé. Everyone else was carrying on with their conversations, so no one was paying attention to them.

“Thanks a lot for kissing me, you prick!”
Cash was shocked and confused, “I’m sorry! But I didn’t exactly have any choice!”
“You could have bloody washed your mouth out first.”
Cash frowned, “what?”
“I could taste Marshall on you,” Alex pulled a disgusted face. “Well, what I guess was Marshall.”
Cash’s eyes shot wide open, “shit! I’m sorry! I wasn’t exactly planning on kissing you though.”
“Whatever, just think next time.”

Alex stalked off through the crowd and went to talk with Hunter.  Cash then went over to Cassadee who was smiling nervously.

“Cass, have you seen Marshall?”
“Um…he left when you kissed Alex.”
“Fuck!” Cash groaned. “Not again! You know where he went?”
“Probably back to his room.”
Cash nodded, “cover for me?”
Cassadee gave him a nod, “yeah, just try not to start an argument…”
“Why would I do that?”
“It’s what always happens…you try and persuade him to get back together with you, that turns into an argument, you fall out and don’t talk for days.”

Hunter and Alex appeared beside them.

“What’s going on?” Alex asked?
“Marshall ran off again,” Cassadee explained.

Hunter and Alex shared a look and then Hunter gave him a quick nod.

“How about I go and talk to him?” Alex asked.
“And what are you going to say to him?” Cash frowned.
“I’ll think of something…just leave it to me,” Alex smiled.

Cash wasn’t happy with his answer, but he didn’t push him. Alex left the hall to go and find Marshall.

“Cash, come on, get up!” Alex shouted, running into Cash’s bedroom.
Cash groaned and sat up, “why? What’s going on?”
“The dressmaker’s here, we’ve got to get measured for our suits.”
Again, Cash groaned and rubbed his eyes sleepily, “ergh, do we have to? And why are you so happy about this?”
“I’m getting a new outfit out of it,” he grinned.
Cash rolled his eyes, but couldn’t help but crack a smile, “I’ll just get dressed and meet you down there.”

Cash got out of bed and padded over to his drawers, pulling out a t-shirt and pulling it over his head.

“Where are we going?”
“Everyone’s going to be in the living room by your father’s office.”
“Alright,” Cash nodded. “Tell them I’ll be down in a minute.”
Alex gave him a nod, “sure.” He smiled and then left Cash to change.

Cash and Alex tried on many different styles of suits, all of which Cash couldn’t stand.

“But Cash, you look lovely in all of them,” Vicky told him.
“They’re all really uncomfortable.”
“Alex, which ones did you like?” Gabe asked.
“Um…maybe the second ones we tried on?”
Gabe smiled, “ok, go and get the others,” he told Suarez.
Cash frowned as the messenger left, “others?”
“Hunter, Drew and Marshall.”
Cash’s eyes shot open, “Marshall?! Why Marshall?!”
“We thought you might want a friend standing with you on the day.”
“I don’t want Marshall there!”
Gabe and Vicky sighed, “we were trying to do something nice for you, we want you to feel comfortable,” Vicky explained.
“But I don’t want him there!”
“When it comes to the day, you will want him there. I remember how nervous I was.”
Cash shook his head, “Marshall won’t want to be there either.”

It was then that Marshall entered the room with Hunter and Drew. He looked confused.

“You boys ready to get your suits?” Alex’s mother smiled happily.
“Why do I need one?” Marshall asked suddenly.
“We thought you could stand beside Cash on Saturday with Hunter and Drew,” Gabe told him.

Marshall stared at Cash, who bowed his head, shyly.

“Um, no offence, your majesty, but I don’t want to go to the wedding,” Marshall bit his bottom lip, nervously.
“I think it’d be good for you to be there, you know, for Cash’s sake,” Alex said.

Marshall and Cash both frowned at the other prince, wondering what the hell his problem was. Alex just smiled at them. Marshall then turned back to Cash, who looked very awkward and uncomfortable. The suit he was wearing was too big, so it was slightly drowning him. But Marshall thought he looked adorable, and still gorgeous. He sighed, it was obvious how unhappy Cash was - you could see it in his eyes - Marshall didn’t want him having to go through this on his own, so he agreed to go to the wedding.

“Excellent,” Gabe grinned, and then he turned to the dressmaker and got him to go and measure them.

“Why are you putting yourself through this?” Cash sighed at Marshall when they were done and the adults had finally left the room.
Marshall was buttoning his shirt back up, “because you can’t do this on your own.”
Cash stepped forward and wrapped his arms around Marshall’s waist, “but it’ll just hurt you more.”
Marshall sighed, “I have to make sure you don’t do anything stupid.”

Cash couldn’t help but smile, he reached up and pressed their lips together.

“I love you,” he breathed.
“I love you too.”

Alex, Hunter and Drew all felt extremely awkward for witnessing their intimate moment, but Marshall still had work to do, so they kissed once more before he left.

“Are you going to come to the music room with us?” Hunter asked.
Cash shook his head, “I’m just gunna go lie down for a bit.”

“A bit” ended up being most of the day. Cash showed his face at mealtimes, but he stayed up in his room for the remainder of the time, just reading his books and trying to take his mind off of things.

A/N - So, I finished writing this whole story last night, I was upset to finish it, but I still have to finish updating it on here, so I guess it's not over yet.  But that means that all I have to do is type it up, so hopefully that means faster updates from me.
Again, thank you for the wonderful comments (:
Love you all.
