The Endling 22 or 2.02

On completely unrelated news, I put aside North and South to start reading a Rumbelle epic, Bed of Thorns by Nym.Heavens, it had been so long since I read an epic; doing so reminds me of the good ol' times when I read miamadwyn's Care of Magical Creatures, and CoMC, at 300k, is only half as long as Bed of Thorns. Sigh. I didn't have a kindle back then, so I had to snatch time here and there to read from my mother's laptop my computer, and since I was at my grandparents, I didn't even have a full-speed connection. Using what internet we had to read a fic felt like a forbidden pleasure and it was therefore very exciting. Now, I think that at least the 70% of my kindle is occupied by fics *ahem* I'm barely at 16% of Bed of Thorns and I'm enjoying it immensely so far. How Nym makes householding exciting, day by day apart from all the sexy scenes is a mystery to me.
North and South: I believe BBC did a miracle in juicing such an entertaining miniseries from such a novel - the last 200 pages were a complete bore. Nowhere near the Brontes' style. It still makes an interesting book, with all the industrial/countryside comparison and blah blah blah, but in the end it's not a book I crave to open any time I can. And Thornton without Richard Armitage doesn't even reach the level of 'interesting'.
I still haven't decided what to draw for my Valentine Rumbelle fanart... I'd like to include the sofa and the chipped cup, but still haven't completely figured how to place Rumplestiltskin and Belle on the sofa. Or rather I had half a dozen ideas, some more ironical, some more innuendo-ish, and now I'd like to draw them all. As if I had the time *sigh*
Since I'm so late with everything, I hope you won't mind if I acknowledge only now my contribution for the one and only hoggywartyxmas, The Big Great Hogwarts Quiz! which I drew for the lovely purplefluffycat. Many thanks to sigune for being my stalwart beta.
I also know that dysfuncentine is going to start again soon - I haven't read anything from last year's fest (sob), but who knows... Still a brilliant fest.
