Madison is surprisingly hilly
People who live around here and actually drive and stuff: can anyone weigh in on the advisability of cycling on County Highway M?
It appears to be one way to get from one bike trail to another without biking to Monroe, WI (that's 45 miles one way, in case you were wondering, which will probably eventually be a route I want to ride in preparation for RAGBRAI, but not this week, thanks). I'd be between Wendt Rd (Fitchburg) and Highway 14.
Madison is way hillier than the South Bay. San Francisco itself is basically a mountain range, but Mountain View, despite the name, not so much.
