huzzah!
At last, I have replaced the ridiculously rickety bedside table with which my apartment was furnished with a REAL night stand, with drawers and no alarming wobble. (That's right, the bedside table had no drawers. Bedside drawers are IMPORTANT.)
Total cost: $35, including cabfare home with it. I might have tried to lug it on the bus except that all the sidewalks are now coated in ice.
I seriously considered a comfy $40 armchair to supplement my living room, but so far I haven't had more than one person over at a time and if I'd gotten the chair, I would have had to pay the $30 delivery fee... And of course there's no way I could move it in May. So I forebore.
But man, I love my new nightstand.
Now to Trader Joe's for their delicious cheese foccacinos, and hopefully the salmon patties I had with my cousin in California.
