Good news: I don't have the prothrombin factor II mutation. I was concerned about it, because it's the second most common "cause" of blood clots after factor V Leiden, and if you have both FVL and the prothrombin mutation, your risk factor increases exponentially. Since only about 6% of FVL carriers ever have a clot, I was afraid that the fact that I'd HAD a clot, with no other risk factors, was a strong indication that I might be carrying both defects.
But apparently I'm not. So yay.
