Legba vs. the heating system

Oct 06, 2005 22:22

This morning, the landlord turned on our heat. I was a little surprised that he didn't wait for the cold to prove itself by lingering for a few days, but I guess the weather report does predict overnight lows in the 30s and 40s for the foreseeable future ( Read more... )

My vet said that Ramses was getting chin acne because we were feeding out of plastic bowls, some cats have a reaction to that. Are you using plastic bowls?

I switched to metal when he got diagnosed with it in August, for just that reason (specifically, plastic is very porous and holds onto oil from their food even if you wash it). So he may just be especially prone to it.

Evil Kitty loves the heater but he's scared of it when you first turn it on. It takes him about 20 minutes to realise that the scary thing is warm and cause for celebration. He's a little stupid. But cats do tend to forget. It's possible that the stress Legba has been through with the recent flea spraying has made him a little more nervous about things he's not used to dealing with every day. And if you have vents he might think the air coming out of them is flea spray. :p

And I figured you might want to know that I checked a weather website today and *cough*youwererightaboutthepressurechange*cough*. Damn you.

Where would blogs be without cat pictures? NO WHERE!

They are to blogs what sex chat was to AOL.

You know, you're a lot snarkier online than I remember you being face-to-face. :p

Hmm, I can be plenty snarky. Maybe not so much as the Freshie that-you-knew.

Our landlord turned the heat on for a day or so when there was a cold spell in mid-September. Now Missouri is being indecisive on what season it is, so I can't really blame him for not turning it back on.
