Woke up this morning with a Horrible Cold. Feel this is v. unfair, as spent all of yesterday ensconced in apartment drinking hot tea!
mogigraphia suggested it might be an extended reaction to the French Bread Up the Nose incident, which I had considered, but if anything, sneezing and nose-running seems to be concentrated on the OTHER nostril, so I don't think that's it. Also, DayQuil helped some.
jjgalahad, unfortunately, I don't HAVE any jalapenos (v. high in vitamin C, in case you didn't know), and I don't think the benefits would outweigh the harm of venturing out to obtain some. Of course, it looks like I'll be going to campus tomorrow to meet with the other student worker on my job, and they're predicting "wintry mix." Joy.
B. the landlord seems to have been showing the apartment upstairs earlier; I heard him on the porch and ventured out to ask him if he'd done something to the kitchen sink, which now turns itself off if you don't pull the faucet all the way up, and seems to be producing less water on full-blast than previously. He said he'd been trying to fix the drip, which, now that I think about it, I think he did. I allowed as how it wasn't a big issue but I just thought I should mention it, and everything else (especially the bathroom) is great. The male member of the couple with him looked like
bagworm with slightly lighter hair.
Am reading the book on laughter in social interaction that I will be reviewing this semester. It's giving me lots of ideas about emoticons and laughter-related acronyms (is there a shorter thing to call those?) in IM conversations. Interesting.
Now, back to work.
